Media Player Is Now Available for PS4

If you weren’t paying close attention, you may have missed this bit of news last night. Right before the Sony E3 2015 conference went live, news dropped that the PS4 will now have a media player enabling many highly requested features such as DLNA, video playback, photos, and more. Ever wanted to play a movie from your personal digital collection, show your photos to friends on your TV, or listen to your own music while playing a game? Now you can with this Media Player on PS4. The Media Player works with both your home server and when plugging a USB stick with media into one of the available USB ports on the PS4. Once you launch the app, your home server (if open) will appear as a media option in the player automatically and finding your media is simple and quick. Just want to listen to music in the background without using the Spotify app? Well, you can do that now too!
