PlayStation Vue Has Gone Nationwide

PlayStation’s TV service, PlayStation Vue, has gone nationwide today and it’s bringing some new prices with it too.  Eric Lempel, SVP of PlayStation Network, confirmed today that the once very limited PlayStation Vue service is now going nationwide in 203 different markets. Once limited to a few cities such as Miami, New York, and San Francisco, you now have the chance to try out the internet TV service if you have been waiting.

PS Vue brings popular live and on demand TV to your PS4, PS3, iPad/iPhone, Amazon Fire TV, and Chromecast. There are various packages to choose from and new markets have “Slim” versions of these package and options starting at $29.99 a month with no contract.

With over 100 channels to choose from, some of the features of PS Vue include:

  • Cloud DVR — PlayStation Vue’s unmatched cloud DVR allows users to record hundreds of shows at once and store thousands of hours of content.
  • Simultaneous Streaming — a single PlayStation Vue subscription allows users to simultaneously stream content across different devices.
  • Powerful Interface — this seamlessly blends live and on-demand content to put top programming front and center, with innovative search and discovery tools. You can also “catch up” on many popular programming within the past three days from a show’s first live airing.

In addition, users can also access programming from more than 60 other network mobile apps or websites by logging in with their PlayStation Network ID. The mobile apps and websites are developed by network programmers and are a separate offering from PlayStation Vue, but can be used at no additional cost.
