If you have been following the buzz on the web over the past week, you may have caught wind of rumors that Xbox was considering letting you resell your games back for a percentage of the purchase price and in turn, revoking your access and license to that particular digital title. Well, quite a few people saw the stories including industry analyst Michael Pachter. Today, he reached out via Twitter to Xbox’s marketing head Aaron Greenberg about the topic, noting that Microsoft would be “playing with fire” if they did this.
Mr. Greenberg replied by saying that they “are not actively planning such a thing” and he really had no idea why it was asked in a survey. You can see the exchange below in the embedded Tweets:
@michaelpachter Yeah we are not actively planning such a thing, surprised it was even asked in a survey. Not fire being played with :-)

Will this be something that actually happens? We will have to wait and see. Many have had different opinions on how this would change digital games and that part of the market. What are your thoughts? Sound off in the comments below.
