Xbox Game Pass Launches Early Access, Open to All Soon

The surprise Xbox Game Pass announcement back in February sought to shake up the gaming landscape once more, offering gamers a catalog of downloadable games for one low monthly price. As of May 24th, 2017, the service has exited its Xbox Insider Program beta stage and is now available to all Xbox Live Gold members who wish to subscribe. The service will be available for all Xbox Live members starting June 1, 2017.

The service gives you unlimited access to 100+ Xbox One and Backward Compatible Xbox 360 games for $9.99 USD per month. Each month, the catalog will expand and add new games for you to check out. Not sure about committing to the $9.99 a month? Well, you can give the service a try for 14 days right now if you’re an Xbox Live Gold Member with the free trial.

Xbox, via Larry Hryb (aka Major Nelson), has uploaded a preview video so you can know what to expect and how to navigate the service. You can check that video out below:

As an added benefit, Xbox Game Pass members can purchase all Xbox One games in the catalog – and related add-ons – at an exclusive discount, making them part of your permanent library.
